The red rung is last rung of the ladder. Drop this out of the window first.
Lower the rest of the ladder out the window.
Position the ladder hooks over the windowsill.
Climb down the ladder. Keep close to the ladder while climbing. If others are following, hold the bottom of the ladder for them.
